Citizens Police Academy

This year’s academy is our most interactive yet. Residents will tour our facilities and learn about: criminal investigations, patrol procedures, use of force, traffic enforcement, and police communications. NEW this year is an off-site visit to observe and participate in one of the most advanced decision-making and tactical virtual simulations available.
 
The academy is held on Thursdays: Sept. 15 - Oct. 13, from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., in the Bartholomew Room at the Municipal Center.
 
Any person who is at least 18 years old and lives or owns a business in Richfield may attend the academy. There are no physical qualifications necessary and mandatory attendance of all sessions is NOT required. However, a criminal history check will be conducted on all applicants.
