DESCRIPTION:The 22nd annual Richfield Citizen Police Academy starts Thursday\, Sept. 17\, 2015\, and continues every Thursday through Oct. 15 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. This is a free\, 15-hour\, 5-week course designed to give residents a working knowledge of the operations and responsibilities of the Richfield Police. It is also a great opportunity to meet Richfield's police officers.\n\n Topics discussed include Administrative Overview\, Patrol Procedures\, Police Communications\, Criminal Investigations\, Traffic Enforcement\, a Tour of Police Facilities\, Hennepin County Crime Lab and more.\n\n Any person who is at least 18 years old and lives or owns a business in Richfield may attend the academy. There are no physical qualifications necessary and mandatory attendance of all sessions is NOT required. A criminal history check will be conducted on all applicants.
