SUMMARY:Lakewinds Natural Foods Co-Op Open House
DESCRIPTION:Lakewinds\, a natural foods co-op grocery store\, will open their new store in Richfield in May of 2014.  The store will be located at 64th and Lyndale\, the site of the former Lyndale Garden Center.\n\n\n\nRefreshments will be served\, and members of the community are invited to attend and learn more about the building of the store\, the positive impact on the community in terms of jobs\, and the support of local and organic farmers and producers.\n\n\n\nRepresentatives from Lakewinds will also introduce the Member-Owner Loan Campaign\, which involves individual support in the building of the co-op in the form of first becoming a member of Lakewinds (a one-time $90 investment) and then consider making a loan to help establish the new store in Richfield.\n\n\n\nOver $1 million in loans has been raised to date\, passing the halfway mark toward the goal of $1.8 million. Lakewinds offered similar member-owner loan programs in 1995 and 2005 with great success.
