DESCRIPTION:This year's academy is our most interactive yet. Residents will tour our facilities and learn about: criminal investigations\, patrol procedures\, use of force\, traffic enforcement\, and police communications. NEW this year is an off-site visit to observe and participate in one of the most advanced decision-making and tactical virtual simulations available.\n\n \n\nThe academy is held on Thursdays: Sept. 15 - Oct. 13\, from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.\, in the Bartholomew Room at the Municipal Center.\n\n \n\nAny person who is at least 18 years old and lives or owns a business in Richfield may attend the academy. There are no physical qualifications necessary and mandatory attendance of all sessions is NOT required. However\, a criminal history check will be conducted on all applicants.                         \n\n \n\nVisit www.cityofrichfield.org/cpa to register online or call 612-861-9845.\n\n \n\nDeadline to register is Sept. 2. If your application is approved\, you will receive a confirmation letter along with a course schedule in early September.
