Everyone is welcome to attend the next public open house on November 29
from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Wood Lake Nature Center, 6710 Lake Shore Drive South, Richfield. At this point, the project team is seeking additional input on existing issues on the corridor, and potential design elements that may be used to address the corridor’s issues. We are specifically looking for feedback from businesses along the Lyndale Avenue corridor to understand business needs and priorities.
About the Project
The City of Richfield is reconstructing Lyndale Avenue from approximately 66th Street to 76th Street. This is a unique opportunity to revisit the street’s design and function, to ensure they represent the best approach to meet the community’s transportation needs into the future.
The project will improve pavement condition, replace deteriorating sidewalks,
and upgrade aging underground utilities while improving operational safety for
pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles. Additionally, the project will focus on an
increased livability of the corridor through enhanced aesthetics, landscaping
amenities, transit facilities, and traffic calming measures.
